Finally....

I am writing this from our hotel room in D.C. a measly hour before we begin staging (training). We are very excited to be here. A little nervous, but mostly excited. We will be in meetings all afternoon and all day tomorrow up until we leave for the airport and South Africa. I have already had a mini self-esteem attack when I began to think too hard about my outfit choice - "you never get a second chance to make a first impression!" I had a little meeting in the mirror while Derek napped (CAROLINE!!!!) and reminded myself of what really matters and of all the thinking we put into our packing decisions. Wish us luck as we go meet the rest of the people going over to SA with us - I am sure we will make a lot of great new friendships, but it is always a little intimidating entering into such an unknown situation.
