My good friend, Mumtaz, had her wedding this month. I have become very close to her family and was fortunate enough to be able to stay in their home during a particularly rough spot last year. I love celebrating holidays with the Asmal family because they are great people but also because the food is amazing.
The day before the wedding we had henna painted on our arms and then on the day of the wedding I wore my first sari.
