So my mom arrived in Colorado on Thursday. She drove up with Lynda who was coming for her niece's wedding. Derek and I drove to Canon City to retrieve her and then keep her for the weekend. The world's highest suspension bridge is located there, so after a quick Mexican lunch we drove out to it. This, however, is as close as we got because we couldn't justify spending $75 to drive or walk over it (3x$25).....
Before heading up to Denver we stopped off at a small winery for some tasting and looking. Mom actually found a wine she liked - or two - and bought some bottles!!!! This is very exciting!
With the remaining of the evening we barbecued and showed her some of our new town.
