1. Derek traveled with Mary and Linda through the Garden Route from the Drakensburg towards Cape Town. Doug joined them on the way

3. Linda headed back to Durban; we journeyed on to Namibia - dusty hot roads, reading the historical parts of travel books out-loud in the absence of a radio, random German villages and vibrant colors: sand dunes, sunsets and sunrises
4. Botswana - animals, makoro trips, hippo calls and saltpan wrestling
