Umqobothi and Cake on New Years Day

We were back home for New Years eve - went nuts with fireworks. The next day I made traditional beer, Umqobothi, which was quite the production. There were animals slaughtered and at a ceremony for one of the projects Derek works a lot with, the Okhahlamba Tertiary Development organization, a large cake was served after a bunch of traditional dancing and even more long drawn out speeches!
