The water was so cold it burned. |

This hike through Tugela Gorge (not to be confused with Rainbow Gorge) was probably the best one I have done. Derek might have a different one. It rained on and off most of the way to the cave and there was a serious torrential down pour on the way back. The water was cold and the rain chilled us to the bone. Even though it was summer, my hands and feet were numb. Not just numb – I might have been experiencing the first stages of hypothermia because I could not get my arms to move the way I needed them to in order to change my shirt or my hands to button my pants after a quick potty break. The scenery was breathtaking though. This part of the world… ay-bo!
