He's Baa-aack....

Jimmy, I'm sorry, Jim, came back out to Denver alone this time to spend the weekend with Derek and me. Some crazy drama went down on my way to pick him up at the airport but two car stalls, two rude and not worth my tax dollars police officers, one nice and helpful police officer, two taxi cab rides, one nervous breakdown, one ghetto, three and a half hours and a roll of electrical tape later we were all safe and sound at our place! Yep. Our car had some electrical problem but it is fixed and only cost us $35! Amazing!

After all the non-sense was over on Thursday night we had a really great time. Jim and Derek went to the baseball game with one of Derek's friends on Friday night to talk sports and act manly. I didn't need to go since I can do Soduko at home in comfortable chairs for free. The next day we headed up to Fort Collins because Jim wanted to tour the breweries there. We had some samples at Odell's and did the tour (complete with a slide) at New Belgium. We stopped for a bit to look around at the Sustainability Fair there and then headed home. En route some altitude sickness kicked in for Jim. What's with these siblings of mine (Jenna got it too)? We met up with Ginny and her mom who were in town for a wedding for some good 'ole burgers at My Brother's Bar which is an old stomping ground for Jack Kerouac and Niel Cassidy. Jim recovered but we still just played in low key for the rest of the night.

Just doing some bar tending at the brewery!

Bitter Beer Face - it was sour actually but really good.

Derek and is purse, Me and Jim

Derek and I are fully in the swing of things with school - we even have a class together - much to Derek's chagrin!
