Will Work for Travel

Derek and I headed up with Sam's family to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs near Salida so I could watch Sam while his family went white water rafting one day. I have been watching Sam since March of 2008, right after we got here. He is a really great kid and we always have a blast together. The hot springs at this place were amazing. There were small pockets of hot water literally built out of the cold river by rocks so you would be sitting in a nautral hot tub with freezing cold water running just on the otherside of the rocks. There were also large pools of varying temperatures.

We went camping nearby the next night and spent the evening enjoying our new favorite pass time: Scrabble! I do not know why I didn't realize how much Derek would like this game before - it was tailor made for him it seems. We first played it together at a local bar that provides board games and we (Derek) were hooked! We have invested in a delux travel version so we can play it all the way to Africa and whenever we come to visit you! In the morning Derek surprised me with reservations to go horseback riding. I have really missed being around horses and he rode a horse for the first time since he was a little boy (hence the helmet)!!!! It was beautiful.
